Washington, DC August 24, 2005 -- Black
Gospel Truth magazine has been nominated for the “Best Black
Niche Publication” award. Other nominees include Black Girl,
Pathfinders, Sophisticate’s Black Hairstyles, The Source,
Today’s Black Gospel music lyrics, Woman
and Turning Point magazines.
The award winner will be presented by
the Historical Black Press Lyric Foundation at the Black
Press All Star Lyric Awards Luncheon and Onsite Media Clinic
in Chicago, IL on September 16 as part of a three-day event
designed to attack the growing issue of newsroom diversity,
train minority Black journalists on the latest technology
and to honour the leaders in the minority media industry.

the awareness of new Gospel recording artists to the music
industry and has grown into the largest publication of its
kind.
